Citizens for Chiropractic and the Continued Use of X-rays

The chiropractors need the xrays. Without them my chiropractor would not have known how to proceed with my treatment and he has done a phenominal job since!

DO NOT STOP NUCCA FROM USING THEIR OWN X-RAY MACHINES. THEY ARE MORE ACCURATE THAN BC XRAY MACHINES

He has helped me where other treatments did nit

I stand with my chiropractor and his ability to provide excellent care.

Is there not a better way to regulate X-rays? It might be the better way to regulate such a practice would be to identify abusers of the use of X-Rays and those likely few rogue Chiropractors that are x-ray happy... Most professionals will not push X-Rays for the sake of doing a lot of them. In my experience, a new Chiropractor will try and use old X-rays from the previous chiropractor. In general, I get very few XRays during a year. In the last five years, my NUCCA Chiropractor did new XRays once. These new XRays were very informative and I learned a lot about why my body acts and feels like it does and I was able to understand the future ramifications of personal choices and actions such as posture or head position. This information was invaluable to me and my personal health and it also gave my chiropractor the detailed information he needed to be fully confident he was doing everything in his power to do the best job he could. I don't even recall him charging me for them... Not only that they certainly were not pushed upon me, merely suggested.... It feels as if the regulations are the lazy way to deal with a handful of bad actors instead of actually providing a benefit or elevated service or chiro ecosystem... Lest we forget Dentists will give you X-rays at least once per year. My neck, spine, and back are not easily visible through my skin and I don't feel the odd X-ray should put my chiropractor either in fear or in breach of the regulations...

This is a great cause.

This is a gross disregard to any public safety, concern, and well-being. It is clear BCCC did not look at the prevailing evidence in favour of xrays for spinal assessment, care, and follow up. This actually puts patients and the public at risk for receiving a limited spinal evaluation and consequently poor treatment and health outcomes. You have a fiduciary obligation for the benefit of the public to reverse this decision and continue allowing BC chiropractors to take routine xrays.

I cannot imagine that it is in ANYONE'S interest to have the DC not have all the info he/she thinks she requires to put forces into a spinal system.

There should be no change !

Xray is needed fir patient safety and the doctors treatment planning.

If you can’t see then you guess! Why would we guess on patients health? Really!

X-rays play a vital role in chiropractic care!

X-Ray use in chiropractic offices should remain for the safety of the client.

Xray must stay. Atlas orthogonal saved my life!

Please reconsider this ruling.

Radiography is an essential tool for the practice of Chiropractic. Removing this tool relegated the DC to technician status
