We, the undersigned residents of the Glenbrook Community, call upon the Zoning Board of the City of Stamford to REFUSE Application 213-23, which requests a Zoning Map Amendment for 110 Lenox Avenue - which would rezone approximately 10,525 square feet of land currently zoned RM-1 (multi-family, low density design district) to M-G (General Industrial District).

We have repeatedly asked the Zoning Board in the past to consider the residents of the community of Glenbrook, and are outraged that the board continues to favor industry over the residents that live in the surrounding neighborhoods. We have substantial precedent in our neighborhood of promises being made by the applicants to the Zoning Board that are never upheld by the applicants and neverenforced by the Zoning Board.

We KNOW that the revision to the map will

1) Have an immediate impact on 4 residences on the street, by removing an imposed "buffer zone" on the property and subjecting them to an immediate decrease in property value and an increase in disruption to their living environment

2) Enable increased trafficthroughout the neighborhood as the land is expanded for additional commercial usage.

3) Potentially aid the street's WORST OFFENDER - Stamford Tent & Party Rental - who borders this property and is potentially interested in its purchase value -in driving more disruption on the street. Stamford Tent has broken promises to made at zoning hearings and to residents, removed buffer zones between their business and the residents bordering their property. These residences are now subject to intense 24 hour noise pollution, unsafe truck traffic, aggressive and loud employees anda constant stream of litter and waste.

THEZONING BOARD OF STAMFORD CONNECTICUT HAS CONSISTENTLY DISAPPOINTED THE RESIDENTS OF GLENBROOK WITH ITS ACTIONS.IT IS TIME TO STOP FAVORINGAND CATERING TO THE NEEDS OF BUSINESSES OVER THE NEEDS OF THE RESIDENTS OFGLENBROOK. THE ZONING BOARD MUST BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR MAINTAINING PEACEFUL COEXISTENCE BETWEEN BUSINESS AND RESIDENTS IN OUR COMMUNITY.

WE CALL FOR AN IMMEDIATE DISMISSAL OF APPLICATION 213-32 - ZONING MAP AMENDMENT FOR 110 LENOX, LLC AND DEMAND THAT THE LAND IN QUESTION REMAIN ZONED AS RM-1 FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE GREATER COMMUNITY.
