No, not here. I attended the Yucca Center. Keep its name.

It is extremely distasteful to name anything in Roswell after a civil rights icon such as Cesar Chavez until members of the community and their children are allowed to play on baseball or softball fields. But if you are a dog feel free to enjoy the dog park at the Roswell Municipal Sports Complex from 5am - 11pm any day of the year. No way should a city who offers a "dog park" but locks gates on its children from athletic activities have a civil rights icon used in its naming of buildings.

I don't understand what the big hurry is in renaming something that isn't even built yet. Let the citizens decide what it should be called by letting us use our right to vote since it will be OUR building.

The Yucca Recreational Center should keep it's name. This center is rich in history and is a staple in the community. This center has brought children from all walks of life together for decades. I pray the citizens of Roswell and the city council see the light and leave history alone.

Put these decisions on a ballot during election time instead of forcing individual opinions on the citizens at large.

Stop wasting time and money on renaming things! There are so many other things which require attention.

Naming should not be geared towards one diverse culture especially since the center serves so many culturally diverse children.

Tons of other things the city could be focusing on besides the damn name of a building! Come on people get your crap together and start focusing on the real issues of Roswell!

Yucca should stay named "Yucca." Ceaser Chaves had nothing to do with New Mexico. Regardless, Yucca has history in Roswell that should me maintained.

The money is allocated for the Yucca. City council members need to remember this. Third time may not be a charm

I would like for the new building to stay on the south side of town also.

We don't need anything renamed, we need to focus on more important issues.

Completely ridiculous, Yucca Center is a great ethnically neutral name we have had for many years. Plus it is obscene to spend any extra finances for name changes if they are not needed. For heavens sake, we are nearly 1 million dollars in debt!

It does not make sense to rename the building now and forfeit the funding. Renovate and rebuild the Yucca so citizens can use it again! It was an important facility for Roswell's youth!

No name change! Not necessary. If it's not broke, don't fix it.

Stop wasting money and forcing personal agenda. Leave the name alone. You are dividing the community, which is the opposite of your job description.
