I went to high school in that building and will be very upset when it is gone but with that said - Keep the name, keep the funding and move on to more important work like designing and BUILDING the new recreation center

Roswell cannot even afford to fix roofs and buildings we DO have (which is why the yucca center was in such disrepair in the first place), and you want to lose out on this grant? Insane.

I really wish this town would get educated on Cesar Chavez and quit going by what Obama and the movies depict him as. He was pro Union not pro-Hispanic. He wanted a wet line to keep out the wetbacks. Go do some research Roswell and if it must be renamed, name it after a local Hispanic who has done good for THIS community.

To waste time and tax money for this your out of your mind . Put your time into something worth doing like rebuilding the yucca. Buying snow equipment. Setting building codes to force landlords to fix buildings down main street.

No reason to rush this, nor lose the money that is assigned to the Yucca.

I am totally against renaming the Yucca Rec Center. 1 we would loose to much money that has been granted to help re build, and 2 why change something that isn't broken???

Put the money towards the kids not in some name. Quit spending our money on BS stuff. Make it something Useful. A name is not Useful.

Roswell has a lot of issues that need correcting, why isn't the city council focused on growing Roswell? This is a waste of time and taxpayer money! Stop trying to use back room politics, put it to a vote by the citizens of Roswell, so we can once and for all put this issue to rest, and start focusing on the real problems that need to fixed!
