This location is too close to residential areas. I would prefer part of Camp Pendleton, or part of Miramar.

As citizens we should not have to plead with our elected officials. Just do the right thing. There is no need for an expansion at Palomar airport which was and is a general aviation facility. I am against any expansion and I am a licensed pilot.

Please do not expand the airport and lengthen the runway(s). It's not a good use of our taxpayer dollars - costing millions and benefiting just a few. The larger corporate jets may use San Diego - a short drive from here.

I was awaken this morning at 4:54 am by a jet taking off. Uncontrolled runway flights and pollution added traffic and safety are real concerns. They are not being addressed now how will they be when more 1‰ start using this airport.

The meetings are info only and is a "pacifier". How can we stop this expansion? The recommended flight patterns are a joke. We constantly have airplanes buzzing over our roofs + Poinsettia Park + Pacific Rim Elementary School .. taking a shortcut to save time and fuel when they want to head east. The airport is not being responsibly used and now they want to expand it? Let's stop this! This should be the next "Save Carlsbad" project by the people!!

We are local homeowners that live just South of Palomar airport. We are already bothered by the loud noise, pollution even in the wee hours at night/morning. There's no adherence to the voluntary noise abatement program and planes regularly deviate from the recommended flight path. An expansion would only bring more traffic and increase exposure to noise and pollution. We think this mostly benefits outside visitors and less Carlsbad citizens. Personally, I am very willing to surface travel to another airport. The benefit from saving time on the road compared to the downsides to quality of living from airport pollution are negligible to me.

I wish to express my opposition to any proposed expansion of The Palomar Airport. We are a small community with a high quality of living. I do not take this for granted. I wish everyone could be so fortunate. The reality of the need for an additional airport to serve the business needs of the area north of San Diego and south of John Wayne is understandable, but will only benefit a few at the expense of many. We live in a digital age where flight travel should be used as a last resort to visit family, etc., not for business executives to have the convenience of a quick shot to the airport. The environmental impact is obvious in so many ways. Individuals and corporations can only deny that reality for so long. The airport does not need to be lengthened to accommodate larger airplanes, which bring with them more noise and carbon pollution. I hope the individuals involved in the process understand the importance for Carlsbad residents and their neighboring cities will keep the local citizens in mind when making the final decision on the importance of creating a larger airport that will only benefit a few to the detriment of many. We are an environmentally awake city with active citizens who will not let the City Council make decisions that will provide little benefit to the majority of its citizens. No black beaches necessary. Thank you for your consideration.

live by mission hills high school in east San Marcos since 1995. I moved here knowing I moved under the landing zone of a small private plane field. Not a john wayne airport. traffic use to be a few pkanes at night and day. ive been on the phone before and had people ask me if that plane was landing in my back yard. some of these jets sound like parts are burning up. I lay in bed wondering if these jets will even make it to carlsbad line 6 mikes away.

As a longtime resident of S Carlsbad I oppose the additional noise, traffic and pollution that airport expansion brings.

Already, private and corporate jets arriving from the north turn and start their descent towards Palomar just south of Camp Pendleton. They are using a wide swath of north county as an approach path. The expansion will be more jets and noise for all of north county.
