Please go to the county website and read personally what the proposed airport expansion really is about- it's an extended runway to make the current airport safer! It is not to duplicate San Diego airport! There is not land there to make that possible. And it will not be done with city of Carlsbad money. It would be federal and county funds.

I hope before people blindly follow the no movement on this issue they check the facts for themselves on the airport expansion. We previously had airline service in here for years, United switched to quieter equipment-in my opinion-that needs a slightly larger runway to be safe. Also this expansion, which would NOT be paid for with Carlsbad city funds, would make the area safer for aircraft types already using the airport..

The San Diego airport serves the Carlsbad community well. Expanding the airport would detract from the quality of life in Carlsbad – no to more noise, traffic, pollution and safety issues! Déjà vu. Recently LA developer Caruso and Mayor Hall claimed 35K daily car trips would make traffic better! The citizens said nonsense. Now Mayor Hall claims extending the air strip to accommodate larger planes will make the airport quieter?! The citizens of Carlsbad do NOT want or need a larger airport.

The proposed expansion will seriously impact the quality of life and property values of all surrounding communities and our visitors. It is wholly unnecessary in this region, now and in the coming decades, as we are very well-served by San Diego Airport. I will make it my personal mission to vehemently oppose any elected official who supports this plan. Now that Measure A is behind us, I trust that you will consider the will of the majority of residents, and table this expansion. We are united, we are watching, and we are voting.

An expansion of Palomar Airport will only benefit a few while having adverse affects on many. It's time to stop catering to the upper 1% at the expense of the majority. Mayor Hall has shown an inability to lead based on what the majority of Carlsbad citizens desire and has instead favored development time and time again. A change is needed at City Hall.

Way too close to residential areas. Go downtown and sit by their airport for ten minutes and see how irritating the sound is from the large planes. And City of Carlsbad - did you not just learn your lesson with the failing of Measure A? Carlsbad citizens do NOT want more buildings and expansion! We are DONE.

Makes no sense when we have an airport in San Diego that can handle commercial size sircraft why make this airport bigger when it is so close to homes schools This airport was never intended for that purpose and should not be extended
