I strongly oppose the proposed Carlsbad / Palomar airport expansion. This will negatively impact the quality of life for residents across North County, increase sound pollution, increase traffic, and decrease surrounding property values.

Not only does the mayor want to move the runway north amd lengthen it by 800 ft, but the plan also includes a foot bridge over El Camino Real and a high-end retail center on the north east corner of one of THE busiest intersections in Carlsbad

The proposed expansion will seriously impact the quality of life and property values of all surrounding communities and our visitors. It is wholly unnecessary in this region, now and in the coming decades, as we are very well-served by San Diego Airport. I will make it my personal mission to vehemently oppose any elected official who supports this plan. Now that Measure A is behind us, I trust that you will consider the will of the majority of residents, and table this expansion. We are united, we are watching, and we are voting.

I live a few miles north of the airport. the current flight path to avoid disturbing residential properties (including my house) is voluntary. We routinely suffer the effects of late flights flying over our rooftops at all hours of the night. Some as late as 2 a.m. We have gotten used to the noise and can distinctly tell the difference between planes and helicopters. These 2 a.m. aircraft are planes, not helicopters used in emergencies. It would be intolerable if the noise got worse. Our only reprieve is when they shut down the airport for repairs. Please please please don't make it worse.

Really? You can't drive 30 miles one way or the other for an international airport? This is a beach community not Orange county or downtown. Keep it that way. The increase in traffic will affect every one, new airport user or not. The noise. Give me a break.

Totally against this expansion. This is not necessary with San Diego airport just 30 minutes away!

Property value and standard of living would plunge for the citizens. Why would you even considers this? Do you work for the citizens? On that note what land will be used? Do the citizens as a whole not own the land?
