Cile Precetaj, 40, of Detroit, Michigan, was ordered to report for deportation at Detroit Metro Airport at 10:30 a.m. today for a flight back to Albania.She received a letter from authorities informing her of her deportation on Monday, a day before her scheduled flight.
However, in a desperate bid to buy time, she deliberately missed her flight, instead staying at home with her family around her.
She will now likely be taken to jail as the authorities organize another flight.
Meanwhile, her lawyers are fighting to keep the hard-working mom in the country she's called home since 2000.
Her husband has lived in the U.S. for 40 years and her three children, aged 11, 6 and 4, are U.S. citizens enrolled in the local school.
She is also the sole carer for her elderly mother-in-law who can't eat or walk on her own

Please, let's sanity and civility and kindness survive. In 2000,this then girl escaped a cruel and murderous regime from one of the most closed, cruelly communist countries on the earth, Albania. She has been seeking Asylum since 2000 and it has fallen on deaf ears. Now is the time. She pays taxes, she sends her children to school, she is an amazing mother, married to an American and has American children. She loves this country and salutes the flag and what it represents. She deserves to be a citizen and she deserves the immigration department will grant her freedom and let her become a citizen. We must employ sanity and Humanity. I beg you, join with me and have everyone you know sign this petition. We are not letting in a criminal, a terrorist, we are letting in a fine, Christian, outstanding, hardworking, loving human being who only wants to love and remain in the country where she sought sanctuary from being a sex slave in Albania but now, they say they don't believe her story. This is insane. We must let this beautiful young and hard-working woman stay Among Us. If anyone is a symbol of the United States of America, it is she. Please, I beg you, join with me in her fight.
