Since the overturn of Roe v. Wade in 2022, abortion laws are decided state by state. Louisiana has one of the most restrictive laws surrounding abortion in the country with exceptions only if the life of the mother is threatened or the fetus will not survive a continued pregnancy. The abortion laws in Louisiana should be less restrictive to include exceptions for cases of rape or incest and to allow abortion up until the twelfth week of pregnancy. 12 weeks is more than fair. leave the medical choices to the patient and their doctor instead of the state government.

its honestly heartbreaking that there are no exceptions for rape or incest. women deserve to have control over their own bodies no matter the situation.
