Dear Sir / Madam
In light of the existing situation, we, parents of Choifat Schools, appreciate the Institutions’ continuous support and back the decision of the school’s closure for the safety of its students. However, we feel that it is unjustified that the school is demanding a full fee payment for the Third Term’s 'Distance Learning Program' .
It is important to address that the Distance Learning program which Choifat is implementing is kind of self-learning specifically there is no connection between the students and their own class teacher, Choifat must improve their alternative way of teaching, additionally online learning platform is not a complete alternate, but rather a supplement to the Term Education. Parents have to put in more than 5-7 hours a day, assisting children to complete the daily assigned lessons, provide resources, stationary, technology, not to mention the added mental strain and pressure of working from home simultaneously.
In addition to this, the children are not attending school for the entire semester, neither using the premises, utilities, facilities nor all extra circular activities which are now closed for the entire semester thus reducing the school’s costs.
Over the course of last few weeks, we have seen businesses and companies suffer, families across the city taking the brunt of this situation. Most Businesses are struggling and commercial activity has now come to a complete halt. These are severely difficult times for all of us.
As prominent education providers in the Muscat, we expect Choifat to lead the way by example and therefore, we collectively appeal to Choifat for a minimum 50% Fees Reduction for the Third Term 'E-Learning Program'. For those parents that have already paid, we request their payments to be adjusted against the next upcoming semester
These are difficult times for all of us, and we hope our understanding school will play its part.

Nearly all parents are facing hard times in their work so we are expecting response from our school in terms of fees reduction of term 3 and the bus fees especially we didn’t benefit from the bus for the whole term 3
I believe that a reduction of 75% of the 3rd installment or cancelling it completely is more realistic The school has increased the fee several times during the past 10 years (7.5% every year) and no one objected. Its the time now for the school to pay back during this covid-19 pandemic situation
Fees are extremely high. We are parents very loyal to this school for long time. At this critical time everyone help each others and the time for school and it management needs to look at reducing fees. Online reaching require less resources from schools. Teaching process and supervision has shifted to parents and not on school.
Totally agree ,, we are working mom’s we cant stay home to work as a supervisor for shouifat to make sure the children are following the online class
Completely agree with this, Students aren't taking a bunch of classes anyways such as P. E, Music, Art and for lower grades Science isn't being taught either.

The quality of online classes are mediocre. It is just bad and boring pre recorded video with mo interaction. Very bad service
