I think it was ridiculous to change the layout and remove the bus stop in the first place, could never understand why this was carried out. I have seen many an impatient driver overtake on the wrong side of the road, an accident waiting to happen.

I am in total agreement with the dangers that are there at present and think it is a bad area for crossing .

It's very dangerous; I've witnessed near collisions when motorists overtake the bus at the blind bend. Someone will be killed or injured before long. Please re-instate the lay-by, for safety sake.

I support this petition for safety reasons , and would like to point out that when the plans of the safety islands were proposed the bus lay-by remained. Only when work started did the lay-by get removed...(this was not agreed by the parish council present at the time...I am an ex councillor..)

Very dangerous - seen a few near misses - only a matter of time before someone is injured or killed. I seem to remember this wasn't in the original plan when the central island was due to be installed. Removing this layby has also made it dangerous to drive in/out of the village hall car park. Bring the lay-by back!

this is a serious accident waiting to happen, the buses are often there a long time and as Chineham is used as a rat run there are a lot of impatient drivers who will overtake on the wrong side of the road. Please restore the bus lay by
