Poverty is a very common situation in third world countries about a lack of money and basic needs including food, clothing and shelter. There can be mild or extreme cases in poverty, in Africa the case is usually extreme. Children are greatly affected by extreme poverty, in Africa statistics show that children are twice as likely as an adult to live in extreme poverty! This is a long term effect as children are impacted greatly, and these children are still developing their brains and who they are, they can’t grow or become something when living in a life where they are taught to be adults immediately.
