Affordable housing is fine ,but not that many in a small space. We need more attention to ramifications.

In terms of safety, unacceptable road traffic increase and possibility of undesirable environmental consequences, this proposed development must be re-evaluated and redrafted with a fine tooth comb. As it stands, it poses unacceptable future problems specifically in those three areas.

Saftey and traffic patterns are a paramount concern here. I already find exits out of our subdivision restrictive - often hard to turn left onto King from Morrison or onto River from Grand River. We will need lights - especially with more traffic and the LRT. Put in housing that keeps with the 2 story neighborhood similar to the townhome complexes we already have.

This development appears to violate many zoning/density, environmental bylaws. It should be stopped, reviewed, and re drafted to comply will ALL ZONING bylaw requirements

Stop, this city planning aspect of building for profit is only a viscous cycle. You should look to protect green space not eliminate it. Money comes and goes, but animals and nature aren't as available. You should be protecting their homes not planning for more destruction of their habitat

This property has never been approved for high density residential by the neighbourhood community. We were told by the City of Kitchener 29 years ago when we move into the community this property was to be single family houses on a cul-de-sac with access from Manor Drive.

I am concerned that the entire bank backing Manor Drive could slide into the new developement. Without a retaining wall the run off from all houses combined along Manor Drive during a wet season could cause backyards to slide towards King Street. The entire bank along Manor Drive might come undone so to speak, shifting the entire bank in an above normal series of wet seasons.
I am also concerned that the previous land owner did not display a notice of zone change application on a sign fronting his property.
As a result the entire population of Kitchener was not informed of the application for a zone change at the time. As a direct result the people lost their right to comment and speak out to the city at the time of zone change. I believe that displaying a notice of a zone change
is manditory and laws have been broken.

In 1994 the land in question was changed to zone 6 without direct and personal contact with residents adjacent to the property. Trees on the property were removed without a permit; charges were not laid by the city. The increase in the number of cars using this stretch of Morrison in addition to the LRT requires a traffic study. Safety concerns regarding children to be living in the proposed complex adjacent to the LRT and existing track need to be addressed. I feel that these, among other issues need to be addressed before the city approves a building plan.

Not at all happy with this proposal. The high density will add much negative impact to the environment and enjoyment of our homes. I feel bad for houses who will have balconies directly looking on to them. I'm in strong support of this petition. Thanks to the people who came to my door Sunday morning to express their concerns.
