Petition Supporting an Area Variance for Pet Chickens at 215 Melancthon Ave

To encourage a kind, conscientious and engaged community, I, the undersigned, support the right of residents to make full use of their property by undertaking projects and improvements that maintain the spirit and character of Historic Lutherville, as decided by a majority of residents, and are considerate of their neighbors.

The raising of chickens is a clean, quiet, environmentally friendly, Victorian appropriate past-time in keeping with the character and spirit of Historic Lutherville. With these principles in mind, I, the undersigned, support a variance from the required 1 acre minimum lot size, at 215 Melancthon Ave where the size of this lot is .93 acres, to allow the possession of well cared for pet chickens.
