The township officially passed the ordinance and we can finally bring our chickens home. I am truly stunned that this actually happened because of your support. Please just remember to check the final guidelines so we can all stay in good standing.

I have chickens . I do not kill mine for meat they just lay eggs . They aren't a nuisance I am not sure why they wouldn't be allowed . Obviously they can't free range everywhere but they have nice little coops and things you can buy at places like rural king. My rooster doesn't even make much noise. Some things are just ridiculous
I don't currently live there but we are looking at properties and definitely would not consider any area where chickens and the local food security they bring is not valued.
My chickens are the best... the little girls next door are learning so much from watching them grow! I live in Pittsburgh and work in Butler... amazed that I can keep chickens and people there can’t. Please change this!,
Residents should have the right to raise chickens. Perhaps local youth will get interested & INVOLVED. Kids in Butler Twp. sure could use healthy normal interests, we all agree on that I'm sure.
Not just a pet, a major food source with fresh eggs and chicken when to old to lay. You should be encouraging residents to raise their own food, not discourage with stupid ordinances
We should have chickens they are very good for many things. Healthy eggs... eat grubs and other annoying insects... bring nutrients to the ground
More people should be allowed to raise their own food.

I don’t understand why township should not allow chickens. As long as the are not roaming the streets, why not. No roasters though lol. I don’t want woke up at the crack of dawn.
