A northern bypass will be the thin end of the wedge in extending Chichester into yet another Part of "South Coast City", bland, anonymous and overcrowded. We need to protect the identity of Chichester and not risk losing the world renowned Goodwood motoring events, which bring so many benefits to the Chichester economy. All thus is at stake, so please support this petition.

The northern route would ruin a lovely landscape and have a huge impact on the Goodwood Estate, which brings so much money and fun to the region.

Why spoil the beautiful countryside. I think they should update existing facilities

Covering more of our beloved countryside around Chichester will both exacerbate flood problems and attract more cars worsening pollution in an area already suffering from poor air quality in parts. This must be opposed. Instead investment in sustainable public transport is needed to solve congestion problems.

Why rip up more valuable and beautiful countyside when improvements to the existing structure would be more efficient and less destructive.

This is not the first time that our tax payers money has been spent looking at this ridiculous option of ruining the beautiful countryside!

Arundel and Worthing sorted first which are single carriageways. No need for bypass just improve what we have with flyovers or underpasses and grow the area not destroy what makes it unique

Upgrade the current by pass - it will be cheaper and just as effective without destroying the picturesque and valuable rural countryside

You will be ruining a gorgeous part of the countryside and causing irreversible damage to our heritage.
Please think again.

Upgrade to the current by pass is surely the obvious solution - bridges for through traffic ? But do not destroy the countryside loved by residents and visitors alike
