Chichester Deserves Better

I endorse Ben Kirk's statement that the A27 should be retained and upgrades made where needed.

This cannot be the right solution.

This route, its noise and light would have a huge impact on the area, especially from the high points at the Trundle, South Downs way and Kingsley Vale.

I am strongly opposed to yrt more decimation around our beautiful City

Why destroy such a beautiful area!

What a tragedy it would be should this Northern Bypass be permitted ..

improve the existing roads instead

Never to the North Simply keep it south

The implications of a northern bypass would be devastating to the local environment. We should protect and cherish the character of the area; once its gone, its gone. First a bypass, then follows infill housing, and so begins an irreversible process. All efforts should be placed on improving the existing route. What happened to the flyover and roundabouts options approved by DfT?

Improves to the existing infrastructure are surely the only way to go. Wrecking yet another part of a national park cannot and should not be the way.

It will spoil the whole area and cause huge disruption.

Make better use of the current A27 route and improve it - a northern route is ridiculous. Improve what is already there.

Please Highways England see sense - a northern bypass is not the best option and will ruin our beautiful countryside.

I say no to a northern bypass for Chichester and yes to improve and upgrade the existing route of the A27

This is completely outrageous. What they are proposing is devoid of common sense and rational logic.

Whilst I can appreciate the need for improvements to the A27. It would be a terrible thing to inflict yet another motorway on the wildlife and beautiful countryside.

Totally criminal, please reconsider - Goidwood festivals and estate are iconic to England

No to northern bypass. Upgrade and improve the existing route which will benefit our beautiful city of Chichester.
