This would ruin one of the few beautiful villages left in this area.

A northern by pass would be our equivalent to the M25. Everything inside would be built on. It would destroy the character of the city and close Goodwood. Flyovers through the roundabouts is the only answer.

There must never be a northern bypass of Chichester or the City will be surrounded by roads and traffic The existing A27 needs to be upgraded with flyovers instead of roundabouts.

Does Chichester really want to lose millions in revenue with the loss or significant impact of the proposal on Goodwood revival.

The short term difficulties of carrying out the en route improvements option will be quickly forgotten. The permanent long term damage to the countryside north of Chichester and around Goodwood will not.

No northern by pass around lavant/Summersdale.No back room tactics by Government, County, district or City councils. Consider public and local residents views earnestly.Total disregard at present!!.Summersdale a grid lock. This will not improve situation.Osbourne should travel the rat run on a daily basis.Cyclists a nightmare. Double parking .Lest we forget the building contract vehicles.Pedestrians!! Life in their own hands.

Chichester is a great city, and the countryside surrounding it should not be ruined by people not using their brains- why don't we provide slip way roads, more of a highway system which allows the traffic to flow, too many roundabouts cause backlog.

Surely flyovers etc to speed traffic on the existing road would be cheaper, more effective and far less damaging to the unique ambience of Chichester.

What a waste of time the CDC Local plan and the 2005 study will prove to be if this road was built.

Lets see and understand the need, the strategy, the considerations and the six tactical proposals. Is there a seventh, do we need any at all?
How might a proposal satisfy the many local needs rather than just a traffic problem. What might be added into a proposal - linear housing, linear parks, cycle matrix, cross garden bridges, allotments, ecology corridors.
Should more permeable land surface be concreted over in any event? Fixing what is 'broken' may be the most futuristic and sensible approach!

Please don't needlessly destroy our beautiful countryside when there seem to be better options available.
