I use the A27 a fair bit and see no reason not to improve the existing road. Cutting through valuable open countryside is really unnecessary

Who wants a delightful country town to totally surrounded by dual carriageways? Who wants the South Downs vista to the North of Chichester to be destroyed for future generations? WE DON'T!! Do the logical thing and provide a proper bypass along the existing route.

this can't be built, taking out good wood and the national park of the South Downs.

The South long overdue improvement is the only logical answer

The northern route would be a disaster to Chichester

The damage of the Northern option to the local economy and environment would be a disaster

Not a good idea, let's just improve the A27 route ..... It's not difficult!

it won't work, will cause disruption in the interim and is not a sustainable solution. it should not go ahead

No northern bypass. It will ruin the beautiful South Downs.

CDCC will be attempting to steam roller this project through like many others. I hope that many people oppose this tyrannical body that is supposed to be the voice of the people.

Chichester MUST NOT have the Northern Route

there are just too many reasons why this northern route should not go ahead. Both environmental and financial. Spend the money on improving the existing route.

A new road will not solve the existing A27 congestion. Between 20-40% of all traffic is through traffic, the rest is local traffic trying to get off the peninsula or into Chichester from Bognor. A new road will create demand so this is a short term approach to a much more complex problem. This needs to be revisited

I travel to Lavant most days. It will ruin the landscape and also the economy generated by the Goodwood Estate. The livelihood of many employees will be affected and local businesses

The proposed road will totally change the character of Chichester to the detriment of all. Improvements to the present rout is the only sensible approach.

We need an improved A27, not a Northern Bypass.

Seriously look at overpasses for through traffic at the major blockage junctions on the existing A 27.

This road will destroy Lavant, Goodwood and Sommersdale areas of Chichester making the air, sound, sight and enviroment polution unacceptable. It is destruction of jobs and life of the people from this area. There are other possibilities bordering the already existing A27 that make a lot more sense in every way. This idea MUST NOT go ahead.
