this doesn't solve the problem and creates a load of new ones, not least damaging the fringes and the national park as well as harming the ecology and scenery of an area of outstanding beauty

A bypass as proposed will ruin a safe and easy route for walkers and cyclists to get to Chichester from Lavant. This passes through a wide open space which in springtime is covered with cowslips, and later by other wild flowers, bees and butterflies. I cannot see that a by-pass will be of very much use at all.
I speak as someone who often visits Lavant, and has relatives there.

Does it make sense to destroy beautiful countryside just to gain a few minutes traveling time? This road is used by local people, so local people should have a say.

Any improvement must be made to the existing A27. As a car user I have to accept that our road infrastructure is not perfect. I cannot expect beautiful countryside to be ripped apart just to make my journey easier. This is the price I pay for having a car. I say NO to the proposed north by pass.

Anything affecting us all should definitely be in the public domain for discussion. The fact that it isn't implies that there is something underhand going on
