To decimate our beautiful countryside is a complete travesty, we must preserve our woodlands and wildlife for the next generation and beyond. Do we really want to live in a concrete jungle ? I certainly do not and vehemently oppose these works.

Please oppose plans for a northern bypass of the A27 around Chichester which would cause brutal and irreversible environmental damage to a much cherished and fragile landscape.

The Northern bypass will do nothing to stop the congestion at all the roundabouts on the A27 as much of the traffic is local. People living in Chichester have a real problem from 7-9.30am and 2-7pm .all the proposed housing will make the local traffic worse and the A27 more congested even with a new bypass. Upgrade the A27 is the only logical way to go, Has a proper study been undertaken about the proportion of local traffic movements using the A27?

It makes no sense to cut the link between Chichester and its traditional countryside with a new road, when the bypass exists and has the space to upgrade.

I am deeply saddened that future generations will not be able to enjoy the peace and beauty of the South Downs and Goodwood for the sake of a man made structure. Why some people want to ruin this planet is beyond me. Highways just want to stick a plaster over the wound and be done with it. IT WILL NOT FIX THE CONGESTION. Disgraceful....

If a recent lesgislation passed by the government allowing fracking in national parks, potential for gravel extraction within a 100 meters of our house and now a major bypass through a part of Chichester that allows us to avoid congestion, one could be forgiven for wanting to emigrate to somewhere less crowded!

We need to improve what we have as far as infra structure is concerned. Not add another road where it is not needed.
We also need to protect the little countryside that remains for future generations and for wildlife, so that the privileges of our today do, not become a distant memory to our children.

Stop destroying the local landscape. Some of the oldest human remains in Europe were found in Boxgrove for crying out loud!
