This would create more traffic problems than it would solve and damage important areas of countryside.

Mad even to consider it. The current by-pass would be acceptable with some widening and underpasses at the strategic roundabouts

How many years has this debate been going on..I worked here in the 70's and it's still. the same chaos!
I fully support a full upgrade/flyovers perhaps to serve the whole area and NO to a total disruption around the beautiful countryside inc Goodwood With another bypass.I wonder if there are really any practicable people on this council who really care and have an interest in the local environment....Let's hope the Goodwood Estate with its power and being in the proposed area can help to squash this crazy idea.

This proposal is wrong on so many levels and must be resisted.

I am totally opposed to the plans for a northern bypass. It makes far more sense to upgrade the A27 than to cut a swathe through our beautiful countryside, cut Chichester off from the Downs and encourage unwanted infill development.

Just no. And have the Highways Authority considered the vast amount of compensation that they will have to pay Goodwood for lost income EACH year?

Tearing away the small Sussex villages should not be an option regardless of cost

Building new roads does not solve the problem it just attracts more traffic in the longer term.

Breaking the link between the Downs and the City would be a cultural, economic and environmental travesty.

Goodwood is fantastic and should not be ruined by an awful road!

North bypass a totally absurd, perverse solution to a small part of a big problem. Mr. Tyrie, it's time to wield your talent and influence for the genuine benefit of the people you represent.

Andrew Tyrie is a great local MP - I'm sure he will at the very least respond to our concerns about these plans.
