This shows the human race at its self-destructive worst. Why you would do this to such a beautiful area is beyond comprehension.

Totally agree to IMPROVE the A27 instead of a Nothern bypass...... pLEASE leave the North apporach to Chichester rural otherwise it will become another commercial circus like the South/East/West

Good wood events are a big attraction to visitors such as myself to your area. The visual impact and destruction of the landscape as it is would put me off visiting the area

CANNOT HAPPEN EVER

I visit regularly and cannot see how a bypass will help - the problem lies with slow access to the many roundabouts for people who want to get into the town, not bypass it.

No to by-pass less to improved A27. The by pass would go through some stunning amenities and land - Brandy Hole Woods and Goodwood - this should not happen

Been waiting for improvements to the a27 most of my life. Get on with it!

The proposed by pass would ruin lovely countryside & have a negative impact on all the Goodwood events which bring a lot of money to the area. It would also ruin surrounding villages, Westerton, Strettington, Lavant etc

IMy son lives in that area and there is more traffic hold ups and the scheme will only make it worse

This is a totally ill thought out proposal; it would do nothing to enhance the the city centre but would certainly ruin the beauty of the surrounding areas. Upgrade of the existing roads would be of benefit in so many ways and probably more cost effective!

Please upgrade the existing route of the A27; destruction of the area of the northern route is ridiculous

Make the local infrastructure better without destroying new green belt. Railway could be electrified, the old Beecham cuts could be reactivated. Think laterally not destructively, there are other options to the road

I think this idea is OUTRAGEOUSLY STUPID! Why? The residents of Chichester. The HORRID noise will disturb them.

We wish to add our names to the objection to a northern bypass.

Totally opposed to a northern bypass!

The Northern Bypass is an outrageous idea, even worse than the late unlamented proposal for resuming gravel extraction North of Chichester. The sensible - and much cheaper - solution is to fix the existing A27 by-pass, with proper junctions.

The proposed northern bypass would be a disaster for Goodwood, amongst other considerations

Main effort should be to improves A27 not destroy more countryside with a new road.

Use the existing A27 route

An upgrade to the existing A27 route is the only solution
