It would be a disaster. Just improve the existing road

Chichester is one of the most fantastic cities with the most beautiful countryside to the north including the most ancient woodland in Europe, the South Downs plus SSSI areas do NOT ruin it with a road when there are much better options.

This seems such a waste of money which could be invested in improving the existing road.

Absurd idea to cut through beautiful countryside and also straight through Goodwood too, which will adversely affect the world class events there, which contributes a great deal to the local economy

I live in Arundel and every word said in this campaign applies to us facing the battle with the Arundel bypass. Why can they not at least try measures to improve the existing roads first?!?! It's disgraceful butchering stunning Sussex countryside in the national park with no consideration to the enviromental or human impact.

The country side is precious the improvement of A27 in the south is the wisest choice

Leave our woodlands and wildlife alone ! We do not want to live in a concrete jungle.

Building a new road just literally bypasses a problem that has needed fixing for decades to cope with the increased and increasing housing to the south of Chichester. Fix the cause; otherwise the problem just keeps on moving east.

This is a disastrous mistake to even consider a northern bypass, we already have a good ring road that just needs to be improved with over passes and underpasses. Please do not destroy the beautiful countryside around Chichester, it is so important to preserve the green space surrounding this important and historical city.

There should be an upgrading of the existing by-pass, by way of under passes or fly overs at the existing round about junctions, this would make the traffic flow, making the existing dual carriageway adequate.

They artery of the south IS the A27-the northern bypass is an irrational non sensical solution as until we create dual carriageway along the whole of the south ie Arundel is still single carriageway as is Worthing so let us spend the money on this lifeblood of dual carriageway development to enhance advancement not destroy what is good in what we have already.

Putting a bypass through our gorgeous countryside and lovely towns would be criminal.

As a regular traveller along the A27 it's clear to me that the problem is the local traffic inter south

No to the northern Chichester by pass. Focus on the a27 between Arundel and Shoreham instead.

Yes! Improve existing A27 and leave the historic countryside alone!
