Please please re-consider this plan. There are too many adverse changes happening to Chichester and the surrounding area. This road would have a dreadful impact on such a beautiful area. Surely councillors should be protective of what we have and ply funds to upgrading existing roads?

A northern bypass will cause irrevocable damage, and won't solve traffic problems for current A27 users or for the city of Chichester.

Carving up the countryside will mean that there is no corridor to the Downs from the likes of Brandy Hole Copse.
It will also remove tourist attractions that are run at Goodwood (i.e events on the race course) which will affect the tourist trade. Why not upgrade what we have!

This proposal is an outrage... ! It canot be allowed to go ahead. I would join ANY group opposing the idea of putting this road through Goodwood.

A by-pass would spoil the whole character of Chichester! Surely the best way would be to improve what is already there and not destroy more of the countryside!

I am totally against a northern by pass around Chichester. Improve the southern one or the city will become an island surrounded by dual carriageways, the effects on Westhampnet and Goodwood will be devastating and the costs ridiculous.
