I can see absolutely no benefit to this scheme. This is a unique part of the country and this will dramatically change the landscape, the tourism attraction and a wonderful ace to live. Update the existing A27

use the road that is already there and put flyovers on every roundabout or underpasses cost cheaper and relieves the traffic

A northern by-pass will do irrevocable harm to areas of outstanding national beauty, reduce the quality of life for people in northern Chichester and fail to address the congestion on the A27. Far better to upgrade the existing road system.

We need bypasses on the south side of Chichester, bypassing towns and rat-runs along the A27 up to Southwick and up to Chichester...

I think that the current route should be improved with overpasses and straightening out the corner at portfield.

I agree that improvements to the current A27 Chichester bypass would be of greater benefit to both the local users and the wider area. A northern bypass would not achieve this as most of the commuters into Chichester live and work on the southern side of the city.

Forever England which we simply can't afford to loose for future generations. It is our duty to protect and not destroy. Would certainly deter our decision to relocate to Chichester - monstrous bypasses are exactly what we want to escape from!

How can we gain knowledge of any plans. Are there meetings planned? My wife and I would like to understand exactly what is being planned so that we can then make our views known.
