As an artist visiting and exhibiting at Goodwood, the preservation of the surrounding area as a place of tranquil enjoyment is vitally important.

why so close to the national park, especially as the vast majority of people who use the a27 are local traffic just doing short journeys so a new road is totally inappropriate

Please save our beautiful South Downs. We need to protect the beauty of our landscape. Say NO to the bypass.

We need improvements to the junctions on the A27 not a completely new road which will carve its way through the bottom of the Downs

This plan is madness. What will our descendants think of us if we continue allow such reckless and irreversible despoliation of our landscape?

I think it would be tragic to scar more of the wonderful countryside near this beautiful city

Please do not ruin this.amazing natural wonder what we have before it is too late. A by-pass would.be detrimental to the environment and tranquility of such a.wonderful space.

it's essential to avoid contaminating the outstanding landscape and small villages around the north of Chichester with a new dual carriageway and it's attendant noise

A proposal for a northern bypass runs contrary to the stated objectives for A27 Chichester improvements as expressed on the Highways England website.
* It would not address the 8 local transport issues for Chichester identified by H.E. in the mid or long term.
* It would not support the planned development growth within the draft local plan in a significant way.
and * it would have a significant detrimental effect on the historic City of Chichester and it's environment.
Improvements to the A27 could support all these objectives.
