Outrageous, cutting through the beautiful villages is just ridiculous. Put a fly over in if you have to, I think it is better for all concerned and the impact on the stunning countryside is far more important than drivers being able to see the cathedral spire when driving in and out on the A27. Seriously, I have lived in Lavant and Maudlin all my life and the thought of villages being destroyed is heartbreaking. West Sussex is beautiful for a reason because we still have villages, fields and countryside, for goods sake we are not in London and do NOT need a 4 lane road, just stupid.

Spoiling the beautiful rural area around Chichester for little benefit.

Knowing Chichester well, we do not think this is a good move, the surrounding area would be changed forever, for a small if any gain to traffic management.

Do not ruin this beautiful landscape, nor destroy the peace with traffic noise every day of the year. The existing route of the A27 should be appropriately upgraded for the 21st Century, but this iconic landscape should not be sacrificed. It is too close to the National Park. It will be detrimental to the Goodwood enterprises which are a major factor in our local economy, it unnecessarily takes greenfield agricultural land. Urge Andrew Tyrie to campaign to keep the North of Chichester special and the A27 south of Chichester

I am firmly opposed to the A27 northern by-pass route as it will have a great negative impact on Chichester, local villages and the Goodwood estate and events. I agree that the best option is to upgrade the current A27 Junctions.

Dont destroy the South Downs. Improve the A27 like it was originally planned over 30 years ago (AS A MOTORWAY). 3 lanes each way and get rid of the roundabouts - problem solved!!!

I oppose the northern bypass through Lavant. The A27 should be widened as it stands.

Building a bypass through the beautiful Goodwood countryside is hideous idea! Upgrade the current A27 with flyovers, underpasses and improve slip roads to help traffic flow.

Upgrade present by-pass in my view this would be the cheaper option, and save the countryside from being destroyed by the proposed northern by-pass.

A road exists, put some flyovers around Chichester. Don't cut into the wonderful Goodwood Estate.
