Building a new Chichester school just south of the A27 is the stupidest thing any council could do. This is going to grind the whole road system to a halt. Perhaps this is why they are now suggesting a northern bypass.
I have no confidence the council will sort anything out other than lining their own pockets...

The proposal is poorly thought out and would have a significantly adverse effect on the environment.

Taking valuable green space for car drivers to drive from a to b must be stopped at some point, and maybe this is that step too far in such a beautiful area which is in fact, very quickly being built upon.

We don't need another road, we need to Improve the exiting A27 with underpasses at each of the roundabouts THE only sane and economically viable solution

As a East Lavant resident of over forty years standing I am totally opposed to the proposed Northern by -pass
of the A27 -which not only does not address the real traffic problems ,it will destroy our natural enviroment and heritage ,impact onto village life and our local economies such as Goodwood festival of speed .The A 27 Northern Bypass must be stopped.

Please do not let the beautiful countryside be ruined by an ugly and inefficient northern bypass. YOU MUST seriously look again at improving the existing A27 with flyovers. Keep our countryside safe- protect it- for humans & wild life to enjoy. We only have one beautiful & Green England, stop destroying it.

We don't need another road, we need a better one! Improve the exiting A27 with underpasses at each of the roundabouts so that North/South traffic doesn't impede East/West trafffic!

A disaster for Chichester. Sort out the existing A27 and link roads. This will not ruin the city, its businesses or the countryside and will probably be far less expensive.

The present A27 should be upgraded for the free flow of through traffic. The area north of Chichester should not be ruined.

Would ruin the best area north of Chichester ,be a noise issue ,destroy the Goodwood estate, and devalue my property and I would move out of the area.,and would make a mockery of the national park and the concept it aspires to.

How can they even consider a northern bypass .
Let's just sort A27 out . Perhaps a fly over would be better ?
The whole of Chichester circuit roads need sorting . Grid locked by lorries and buses from the train station and New Park Road's Puddle a nightmare !!

I am totally dismayed with the continual ruination of our country for the sake of so called progress. The car is not the most important, the environment is and this continual offence against our surroundings is detrimental to us today and future generations.

This proposition would not solve the problems of local traffic using the A27 and would cause a total devestation to an area of outstanding natural beauty. Far better to invest in upgrades on the existing A27 which would provide a better solution both for local and through traffic.
