This situation is so familiar to me, this actually happened in the city where I'm from and solved absolutely nothing but ruined the beautiful surroundings. I guess someone will get a fat paycheck if this project will be realised !! It's all about the £

I grew up near Chichester - there is enough road capacity there already and the landscape is irreplaceable. It has been shown that roads cause traffic growth.

Improve the road that's already there, put bridges and exits in to keep traffic flowing rather than ruining our beautiful countryside and peoples lovely homes!

How much more of our beautiful countryside is going to be ruined and taken away from us. If there are alternative solutions they should be taken into consideration

Any northern bypass will desecrate our beautiful city for ever!! Don't be short sighted, improve the roads we already have - Simple!!!

Road building is never a solution to traffic congestion. we knew this 40 years ago. What the south coast needs is better public transport.

Please rethink proposals for short and long term gain and the impact on our beautiful countryside

Major dualling of roads, especially through important landscapes, indicates outdated thinking. Be smart and spend the money on local transport solutions for sustainable access...expanding road traffic is a nonsense. We don't need another motorway here

It's not that much of a problem, where isn't during rush hour? Flyovers over most roundabouts would improve traffic flow.

Stop destroying the beauty this country holds

This bypass proposal is madness. It will destroy the National Park and the surrounding villages . An "expressway" will have limited access and will stymie farms and small businesses as well as local residents. The easiest solution is to address each bottleneck with improvements to the existing A27. An expressway will do nothing for for climate change.

What little country side we do have must be preserved. As my 6 year old daughter rightly said, "what about the nature, it would die". Improve existing infrastructure.

Chichester will be completely ruined if this is undertaken...do we really want our beautiful city surrounded by roads and countryside spoilt?
