I think it would be cheaper and less destructive to the natural environment to upgrade the existing route rather than build a new road north of the city

We need to preserve the areas of AONB and SNP in proximity to Chichester and to maintain and promote good public transport links not more or bigger roads

The extension of the existing route is a no brainer and will benefit all residents in the wide area surrounding Chichester.

This part of the country side is to beautiful to lose for a bypass. Please run a new road to the south of Chichester.

Chichester deserves better.
The residents of Chichester are the real stake holders, we should take the decision.

With the number of houses being built in our area, local traffic has now reached gridlock at too many times of the day. Any road building should be for local as well as through traffic.

Previous studies over 30+ yrs indicate that most of the vehicles using the A27 are not going east or west. Therefor a Northern Route will not solve the current problems.

This proposal is outrageous! Thank goodness it was "uncovered" in time for the public to see what was going on.
This Northern by pass will Cut up our most precious countryside! Obviously there will be people in the wings with their plans for development "with created infill" wonder if the plans are drawn up ?
This Goodwood land is precious and should not be sullied!
Hands off!
Sincerely Ruth Flint

Building this bypass will be a blot on the beautiful landscape, not to mention encourage more traffic and bring more pollution to the area.

the roundabouts are the problem holding up traffic trying to get down to the coast. Improve what we have . Do not spread the problem .

A Northern bypass to Chichester would be an environmental outrage and detrimental to the entire area aesthetically and financially.

Surely flyovers over the existing roundabouts would ease congestion considerably, without tearing up more precious landscape.

It's all been said already. Makes perfect sense to improve the a27. Makes no sense to build a new road.
