North Shore Health System has recently dismantled the team that specifically dealt with the surgical care of patients suffering from Chiari Malformation and related disorders. This has left many patients recieving inadequate post-operative care. General physicians are making care decisions about a rare group of disorders that they have had little to no training in. The Physician Assistants and other former members of the Chiari team were well versed in these disorders. We ask that you sign this petition in support of reinstating the Chiari team so that those of us suffering from this disorder can get the knowledgable care we need.
