Mstyslav Chernov won the Academy Award for Best Documentary for his documentary '20 Days in Mariupol'. The film is about a group of journalists trapped in the city of Mariupol as the Russian-Ukrainian war rages on.
It is our goal to gather enough signatures to have Mr. Chernov come and speak at UTA not just about his important document but also about how his film documented the incredible courage of the healthcare professionals who were working in Mariupol during that unfathomably dangerous time.

I honestly did not think this would gain so much traction when I first hit publish but the momentum is just incredible right now. Seeing so many people wanting to hear from someone who witnessed such history makes me think this might actually happen if we just keep pushing forward.

I really want to hear about the risks the crew took to capture those scenes. such an important perspective
BRING HIM TO UTA PLS. His work needs to be seen by everyone here
Would love to see this happen. He is a total hero for what he did
the film was heavy but everyone needs to hear what he has to say about the healthcare workers
I would love the opportunity to learn up his message and to hear/ask questions about that amazing movie!

This documentary completely changed how I look at the news. It would be an honor to hear the story behind the footage firsthand
