We, believers in the Rev. Sun Myung Moon as the Lord of the Second Advent and King of Kings, demand that the Family Federation for World Peace and Unification stop any action to trademark the Korean term "CHEON IL GUK", which translated into the English language means the Kingdom of Heaven. This term, coined by the Rev. Moon, has been incorporated into in the religious practices of the Sanctuary Church since its founding, and is widely used by Sanctuary Church families all over the world, a growing community of over 10,000 people.

We find this attempt to trademark CHEON IL GUK would be similar to a Christian Church launching a legal action to trademark the term KINGDOM OF GOD, a term of broad common and historical use. Therefore, this attempt to legally trademark, and therefore limit the use of this now common and popularly used term, CHEON IL GUK, is a direct violation of our family's rights to the free exercise of our religion and thus is unconstitutional and cannot stand.

We support this effort by the Christ Kingdom Gospel Ministry and urge Family Federation to stop this effort to violate our religious rights.
