I want the Chatham B.O.E to be open and transparent with the upcoming $25 million dollar bond referendum!

I am totally against the arts center. If the board of ed had been diligent maintaining our current performance centers, they might not be in as bad shape, as the board has led us to believe. And what about the maintenance and upkeep of a new building, what about the costs involved with that? Has anyone thought about it. It makes so much more sense to makeing our current auditoriums state of the art. Who thought up this idea anyway. There are so many areas within our school district that need more funds. I'm sure the board doesn't want a split issue because the arts center would probably receive votes. Would they rather keep in just one and risk the chance of losing my first time voting down a school budget, like so many of my fellow Chatham residents. People come to Chatham for the fine education that already exists, and will continue to do so. They have made that choice for years, and we never had an arts center.
