I would greatly appreciate your consideration to rescind Bob's termination or at the least make it possible for him to get the benefits he is due. Thank you

As a veteran who fought to preserve the sanctity of our great nation, it is painful to see a dedicated man treated in such a fashion anywhere in America. Has the Commonwealth become a caliphate?

Please reinstate this man. He put in 20 years of good service and deserves better than this.

Providing reasonable accommodations for the disabled is a necessary and responsible use of public funds. Please do not "save me money" in such a callous way as ditching a 20-yr employee in the name of financial efficiency, especially when the investment is a practical and ideological show of support for all disabled citizens of Charlottesville. I understand that your finances are more complex than I understand, but at least know that one citizen would rather you spend his money this way than not. People are more important than money. A small town community like Charlottesville should be able to demonstrate that.

This is why people work at a company for years, for their benefits. They need to be there when you need them. Rules do need to change. Mr. Jones will need to review policy and make a difference.

I don't pretend to know all the ins and outs of Bob's illness, nor his employment history with the city. Nor do I know all the ins and outs of ADA, FMLA, unemployment, or employment law. But this just seems wrong. Signing this petition in hopes that the right thing can be done and that this matter can be handled with compassion for Bob, and not just as a personnel issue to be finalized and forgotten.

Bob Pippin tutored me while I attended Buford. Great man! Serving in more than just gas. He deserves better!

An employee of 20 years shouldn't be treated this way.
