Don't be heartless! Make the accommodations needed so Mr. Pippin can continue the job he loves. By dismissing him you are adding to the societal problem of unemployment which ends up costing taxpayers. Let this man continue his job & dignity.

I find it alarming that the city I once called home could treat such a loyal employee so badly. The Mayor, the Director of HR and the City Council disappoint with their cold, callous treatment of Bob. Violating ADA laws is a can of worms they don't want to open. Not to mention a civil rights suit and a reminder to Charlottesville voters at every City Council election.

Reinstate this mans benefits. Not doing so is inhumane.

Bob is a gentle, non-threatening guy who believes in the goodness of people. I'm sure this fight is hard for him because he is a man if character and humility. Let's give him our love and pray the city will reconsider and allow his retirement and benefits. #helpbob and share the petition.

Bob Pippin deserves the pension and health insurance that he has worked for for so many years. Please right this injustice.

It's shameful to fire someone with health issues that they can't control just so you don't have to give them their benefits. Late three times? Poor excuse and a dubious reason to fire someone who has a history of good work.

I spent 19 years at a company and got lunch for it when I retired. Good luck to Bob who deserves more than lunch.

Please rescind Bob's termination so he can get the benefits he should have had all along. Please don't let this kind of "mistake" happen again.

Give Bob what's he's earned during his 20 year tenure with the city.
