Final supporters
We, the student body of Charlotte School of Law, seeing that the best interests (financial, social, academically) of the student body has consistently not been at the forefront of the priority list demand the following:
1. We demand that grades for all students be submitted before/on January 1st, 2017, so that students who wish to transfer will be able to proceed with their wishes;
2. All students who are on track to graduate in May of 2017 be allowed to finish their last term without private or non-governmental loans;
3. All normal expenses incurred by continuing students for the Spring 2017 semester be provided for jointly/separately by Charlotte School of Law, Infilaw, and or Sterling Capital;
4. We call for the restructuring of leadership within the Charlotte School of Law's administration beginning with those individuals who have consistently had the final word regarding matters that have in recent years fell under the microscope of the ABA and the Department of Education.

I just looked at the screen and saw the number one hundred sitting there which is honestly surreal because when I started typing this up in my dorm I figured maybe five people would actually read it. It is so validating to know that so many of you are feeling the same level of frustration about the administration and our complete lack of clarity on the future of our degrees.

I really did not think people would pay this much attention to what we are dealing with here but the energy is honestly overwhelming right now. It means so much to see this many of us finally saying that enough is enough while we wait for any kind of real answer from the school.

I second Melissa Fredette's comment on transcript fees and applications fees should be waived and/or refunded. We are incurring these costs because of what the administration of this school has done, not because we were seeking to leave
This is a failure on the part of the ABA and North Carolina Bar Association to protect the law students from outright fraudulent action on the part of Infilaw and CSL. They have jeopardized the future of every student that has chosen to place their career path in the hands of Infilaw. The actions listed here are the bare minimum that need to be implemented. Infilaw and their investors will likely be subject to costly and legitimate lawsuits on behalf of students and alumni for reparations - both present and future.
Being a for-profit institution comes with the risk of loss. The school should swallow the cost of tuition for the students expected to graduate in May.
The school needs to take care of the students graduating in May of 2017. Especially since only 30 credits can be transferred. This would be financially devastating since most would lose 40-46 credits and be forced to go another 2 years. Charlotte needs this school to remain. The administration needs to reorganize and take the steps necessary to start anew.
So many of us quit jobs, moved away from our loved ones, and signed lenghty leases in an unknown city. These decisions were solely based on our acceptance into an institution that we thought was respected and honorable within the legal community. However, as we all have learned in the last month the administration has been lying to everyone and when it is all said and done the students are the only ones who will suffer.

Being a single mother of a 2-year old, I have no clue how we are going to survive without receiving the federal funding that I was awarded and that included a stipend. I am truly devastated by this news and hoping the CSL makes this "right" for all current students who put our faith and trust in you all!
