graduating at north point is not fair to them. They should be able to have a fair graduation it's not even their own school

I remember graduating in the gym of LaPlata. It was absolutely terrible! Not only was it terribly crowded and tacky looking, it was the worst feeling when I had to decide which family members got to sit in the gym and sit in the other room to watch on a projection screen. I am wondering what the senior dues go towards if the kids are stuck in a tiny gym to graduate. I have been to NP's gym during the cheer competitions and it can get crowded and uncomfortable sitting on bleachers. can you imagine sittng on bleachers for an hour or so graduation! These kids work hard to make it to graduation and it should be a wonderful event not a celebration in another schools gym!

for students who play sports and are rivals to north point shouldn't have to graduate in a place they strive to be the best at. No one would want to graduate at another high school so why are the school board members trying to force it upon the graduating class. You don't see college graduations at rival schools so why is high school any different.

Totally agree with all that been written. I am not a happy parent about this either. It is just plain old dispacable to the class of 2015 and disgraceful. Evidently our and our students votes did not count. The Superintendant should be ashamed!!

I have two granddaughters graduating from La Plata this year. It absolutely should be at the school they attended. If not, then at a neutral venue.

I support school pride, have it at La Plata. Why can't the football field be used? When I graduated we used our football field, on-field seating for parents and all others used the bleachers.

Poor choice on behalf of CCPS. Now we have the uncomfortable decision of choosing which set of grandparents deserves to be inside while voting the other "off the island". Make a better choice CCPS, our families derseve better.
