The feedback I have received from fellow students indicates that many of you value acts of altruism over the strict enforcement of appearance codes. I am currently preparing a formal letter to the administration to illustrate why this contribution to the Teenage Cancer Trust belongs within our school community.

How does your teacher plan to let pupils express themselves in the future if they are confining them to strict rules to not be themselves in this society that is already ruled by the media and the medias ideas of beauty. Let people stick out and encourage them to express themselves. Let them look and act how they want to. We only have a certain amount of days in this life, they shouldnt be filled with unacceptance.
I've been in the same situation and so has my friend. It is disgusting that the school says it is inappropriate for learning when other pupils get away with beiht red hair or smetims even pink. It's classed as a over-the-top haircut, but you'd think they'd make an exception for charity, wouldn't you? Disgusting.
So proud of you for wanting to do good. Lots of teens with cancer loose their hair through no choice but because if treatment. You want to show your support whole trying to help at the same time. Keep fighting gal.
I have a shaved head and I'm a female. I think it dumb to tell somebody they can't be bald when some people don't have a choice.
Think it's really sick how a school will not let you shave your hair for charity as it is for a very good cause and a lot of people around the world has been or is suffering with it, surely the motto for our school is "putting our pupils and their achievements first", well they aren't exactly acting on it are they?? And how on earth does it distract other pupils learning?? I think it's absolutely ridiculous

Of course you should be allowed to shave your hair for such a good cause Gracie! Your narrowminded school should realise that the effect of your baldhead will be short term, where as the charity you are supporting will have long-term benefits. Well done and good luck XX
