Hamilton presents itself as the best city to raise a child. Parks go a long way to meet that.

Hi Bill, thanks for visiting. The picture is from the concept images of what the park could look like. Unfortunately there are no parks that are within easy walking distance for the many little ones in our neighbourhood. The nearest park is a long walk through a large muddy field, and most of the time the gate to the park is locked.

This is not a picture of the park in question!
There are already 2 parks in the area. Why another one?

The current space is an eyesore that serves no purpose. I think a parkette would be a great improvement and would give the children in the area a place to play.

Providing children with a safe green space should always be a priority within a community.

I can't see the negatives to pursuing this opportunity. The vacant lot is described as an eyesore. It is in close proximity to a decent-sized group of children - children who need to have a safe place to play, grow, learn, explore. It's win-win from all angles.

My children would love to have a park in our area. The park located at Turner Park/Les Chater YMCA is not very age appropriate for small children. With all the developments in our area a park is much needed.

We need some where in this area for children to play safely. I support the plan for this parkette.

I would love to see this completed with the natural trail going into the parkette and natural climbing structures. I am glad to see that the trees are staying, I would love to have more trees planted on the condo side so they have access but privacy. We do have lots of kids in this area and the park would be well used. Go for it!!

Our chjildren need safe paly areas with play equipment suitable to their ages. When our kids were young, they could go down the street to such a park and we would follow behind, knowing they were safe and could have fun. (swings, slide, jungle gym, turnabout)

I have two young children that would benefit from a park close by. It will also positively affect the children in and around the neighbourhood.
I feel a park is needed in this community.
