Get Sports Direct to supply Chapecoense shirts to support the families of the plane crash victims
I would like to get Sports Direct to stock the official Chapecoense shirts and pledge the money raised to those who lost their loved ones in the plane crash.
I organise a weekly five-a-side game and the idea would be for all of us to wear a Chapecoense shirt at one of our games. As an activity this could in fact turn into something Nationwide, but first it needs to be possible to buy the shirt and then there should be a guarantee that the proceeds go to the families. I've written to Sports Direct, JD Sports and Kit Bag UK. Sports Direct tell me they have already allocated all their budget for this type of activity and Kit Bag say they simply get too many of these requests to accommodate them all. I understand their position, but this is a unique situation and one where the football community could really come together to help one of their own in its time of need. I really think this event could catch the imagination of my fellow five-a-side players in England and therefore raise a lot of money (in fact, I know that Celtic supporters have raised the same question with their club), but as an individual I don't have the influence over the decisions of the big sports companies. Therefore, please sign this petition. Maybe we can achieve something.
