Agree with other comments. Traffic and delays have worsened significantly after new lane layout.

Queuing from 1600-1930 from the bell back up towards jct 7. Terrible, I frequently use the country lanes to avoid the traffic

Regularly que from the harvester down to the bell pub now every night. After an already stressful and busy commute on the M6 from Birmingham.
Started driving down chapel and through Park Hall to avoid the que. That route is now getting busier - which I doubt the residents like.

Good news folks - After just visiting the Sprint Consultation (new bus/tram from Walsall to Birmingham) at the Scott Arms we have been told (and seen plans) that the new traffic scheme (with all hatchlings, fixed bollards and raised kerbs will be demolished. The bad news - the bus lane will be extended and single lane traffic will be in force for a longer stretch of the Birmingham Road. Surely, Walsall Council need to provide some answers on why they have squandered rate payers money!

To those who plan/design these lane systems - isn’t your job meant to improve traffic flow? What a complete waste of money and resources this was. I understand the need to reduce speed but creating a bottleneck isn’t a viable solution.

Since the Birmingham Road’s re-configuration it has caused chaos and irratice and aggressive behaviours from the road users making it less safe than what supposedly it was to do as well as adding 20 minutes to the journey. This needs immediate action.

More thought is needed to solve the problem. The new layout seems like a 'quick fix' that doesn't really fix anything. Suggestion: more speed cameras to deter rat races.

I Iive on Canberra road and the traffic congestion both ways has increased significantly. I agree that average speed camera's would be a suitable option which would significantly reduce the traffic caused by the new layout.

Congestion throughout the morning and evening. Adds an additional 35 mins to what is already a 2 hour commute to work. What a waste of time, money and resources.

Absolute chaos. I have to leave work early to pick up kids on time. Never had single late in years for school and now no matter how early you leave still get to school late. Queues on Birmingham road makes me impossible to turn right from charlemont road. So annoying!!!

The road by the Bell Inn in walsall is now hell. It takes me roughly 20 minutes to travel from j7 to the turn just past the Bell Inn.
