I think this needs to be accompanied by affirming that as the Society Senechal oversees operations, so does the Kingdom Seneschal, and the role of the Crown is strictly ceremonial, with no ability to change Kingdom law apart from creating awards.

We need to be doing something about this lack of transparency in this organization. Master Vindis Sigtyrggson OOD, OBC, OOC

Love this. Representation matters, and I fully support this initiative.

Even if everything on this list can't be implemented, it is a good guide.

I feel that for the preservation of the society and long term growth this is a necessity.

This proposal sounds similar to what I would expect in any truly equitable , multi-national organisation. It may need some 'tweeking' to ensyre it aligns with appropriate laws, etc., & get grammar, etc. ironed out, but at face value it appears reasonably sound.

This is a sound proposal and a good beginning.

If nothing else, restructuring so that each kingdom has a member of the board just makes sense. Each kingdom should be represented in our governing body.

I don't think this idea is perfect, but the SCA is where I first learned to never let the perfect be the enemy of the good. These improvements will help the SCA fully be the SCA that taught me that lesson, and I support them wholeheartedly.

I hope we are able to implement all these proposals, but implementing any of them would be progress in the right direction. Baron Alaric, OP, OL, Kingdom of Aethelmearc

Something has to change in order for our gain to comtinue to grow, adapt, and include all people who wish to play. The way the BOD is currently structured and the way members are selected is no longer viable and does not allow any transparency to the members. We must make a change if our Society is to survive.

We play in the middle ages not the dark ages we should update our practice as well as our structure from the top down .

Something has to change. If all of these ideas are not possible, I hope this proposed list of adjustments to our processes provides a foundation for positive change for SCA, Inc to be more equitable and more inclusive.
