Final supporters
Currently the finals will take place during a normal class time. I am creating this petition to change this back to how it has been for many years now. This change is creating problems for students and teachers. Teachers have to change their test to fit the new time limit and after many years of fine tuning their tests to fit the hour and 20 minute limit. This is a problem for students also because they will now be the experimental group. What happens if we don't finish our test? Also, many teachers may be forced to split their test up over the two days, because they can't get all the required information in a test for one class period. This causes stress for the students because not only are they studying for the next 4 finals the next day, but they also have to go over the 5th final they will now be taking that same day.

I have been hearing from so many of you about the overwhelming stress this new schedule is putting on your study routines. My teachers look just as exhausted as the students while they scramble to pack their exams into these shorter windows. I am currently reaching out to the administration to explain exactly why this experimental change is failing us.

Seeing this much momentum reminds me exactly why I started this fight for my fellow students and our teachers. Watching our community unite to push back against these finals changes gives me so much hope that we can restore fairness to our classrooms.

I agree with this completely. I think it should be the way it has been because i work slow on tests and i don't want to have to worry about not finishing because i want to do my complete best.
I'm not even a slow test taker, but I take almost the whole hour and a half for some of my finals.
I think it should go back to the original time because it would give us more time to finish if need be
I think that it should be the way it should be in the past cause I am a slow test taker and it takes be about all hour to just do one test
I agree because I can be a really slow worker when it comes to tests because I get worked up and freaked about if I will fail the test or pass.

I don't think a 40 minute test will effectively show what we've learned over the course of the semester. It's just stressing out students and teachers who are unsure of how long a shorter test is really going to take.
