Mr. Southall,
Thank you for your time to read our petition and sign it. We ask that you share this with others along with our website, twitter and facebook pages. WE are working hard to protect drivers in Virginia and trying to get delegates to assist us. You live in Herndon - we just met with Delegate Rust. He said he hasn't heard from anyone (except 2 people) that there is a problem. Sheesh. He does seem open, though, to trying to find solutions so folks can ride the lanes without the fear of bankruptcy.

Mr. & Mrs. Velthuis,
Thank you for taking your time to read our petition and to sign it. It means a great deal to me and Toni. I now no longer use the lanes, despite having an EZPass - Transurban tried to get $11K from me. They tried to also get the same from Toni. She won her case in Circuit court under the Statute of Limitation and I won my case by getting the $10K judgment that was awarded to them vacated.
Please share our petition, our website and our facebook and twitter pages with anyone you know. We are working with delegates now to amend the current code, fix the issues that have been ignored thus far and bring oversight and transparency to a system that has been dark tinted to the outside world thus far.

Thank you to everyone that has taken the time to read our petition. We wish that we could meet and talk to each and everyone of you face to face - and that this problem with the Express lanes didn't exist - but they do. It is a mess and with YOUR help, we will grab the lawmakers by the shoulders, shake them and tell them CHANGE IS NEEDED! You matter! Help us help you help everyone! Check out our website www.drivers4change.org - like us on Facebook - and follow us on Twitter @Drive4Change01
Thank you for your support. If ever you need anything - do not hesitate to contact us through our website, Twitter or Facebook!
And remember - if you have settled with Transurban, had a judgment issued (even if you paid it and was issued anytime before March 3rd of this year) you can file a "Motion to Vacate" and potentially get every penny back! (take a moment to read the additional comments here for more info OR on Facebook) or reach out to us and we will explain.

The fines that they have given are criminal and they should be made to refund the $$ or face jail.

We purposely avoid using the EZpass lanes because we've heard about the terrible fines for people who have accidently gotten on them without an ezpass.

100% Agree!!! Dulles Toll Road users are even more screwed; paying in perpetuity for Metro that we will never use! MWAA is in charge so we all are out of luck... HELP.

I totally support this. I just received a summons for $21k!! I am not sure if this company runs the 895 tolls in Richmond Va but no matter WHERE a person drives, excessive fines are uncalled for. I will be keeping an eye on the social media amd attempting to contact any relevant people to try and get my case resolved as easily as possible!

Knock on wood, I haven't had any court summons; however, I've had many headaches with the 495 Express Lanes and issues with EZPass in terms of receiving notices for unpaid tolls and managing my account.

All:
Again, Toni and I would like to thank each and every one of you that have taken the time to sign our petition.
We are getting closer to our goal of working with delegates to amend the current code. As some of you may know - Transurban has extended their first time forgiveness program to include ANYONE that paid money in excess of $2200.00 - court or settlement. We believe that this amount is still way too high. However, there is another remedy - if you went to court prior to 3/3/2015 - and you paid anything - you can go back to the court and file a "motion to vacate" - Transurban was not a properly registered entity in Virginia until 3/3/2015, therefore, they could not sue in the General District Court. My case was the "test case" for this motion - and twice the judge "sided" with me and my attorney. While I had not yet paid anything - if you paid out any money and you file the motion and you are successful, you are due back ALL your money. A good attorney for this is my attorney, David Bernhard [email protected]

Thank you for reaching out and telling us your "story"! We are sorry to hear that you had to go thru all of this - for something you were trying to support in the beginning!
If there is anything we can do to help, let us know - BTW - you may be interested in joining the federal class action lawsuit. Let me know if you are! The attorneys filing suit are AMAZING people.
