Didn't even realize I was on a toll road, what a scam!

Toll roads are getting out of control. We need to take back the rights to our roads.

this seems like literal highway robbery to me.

Double billing - bill my transponder as well as my leasing company for toll violation which are unfounded given my EzPass is set up on auto-replenish

Mr. Tery, I am sorry that you had to experience one of MANY issues with these lanes. It ISNT user friendly and Express Lanes/Transurban capitalizes on people making good-faith efforts to abide. Have you called them? Have they offered to void the trip or are they "sticking" it to you? One of our group's concerns IS out-of-state drivers - and how Virginia will be looked at by others - probably didn't leave a very good impression with you. Just receive a bill in the mail for utilizing the express lanes on 495. I live in Arkansas where we don't have toll roads or ez-pas. Saturday at 2pm I thought I met the requirement becuase I had 3 people in the car, only to find out I also needed and ez-pass. Seriously, how does someone from out of state figure this out.

who in the state thought for one minute these would be good? The state isnt even making $$ - it is all going to a foreign company.

I have had the same issues. I never received a notice until the last one and it became $115.20 for $5.20 toll - and it took 12 days for the trip to hit my account. I called Transurban and they refused to waive the fee. Going to court next month - its a matter of principle. I will never ever ride the express lanes again. I reached out to my district delegate and never heard back. KICKBACKS!

Where are our lawmakers? I saw several reports where a few of them looked like deer in headlights "we didnt know this was going on". Really? Where have they been?

These HOT lanes are highway robbery. LITTERALLY. As I type, I am sitting in the mainlines on 95 which are completely gridlocked. The HOT lanes are wide open because the cost is $17.35 for the trip to 610. How can people afford that

I had $1.20 in tolls turn into $250 - really? Is this what our legislators wanted for us? Wish they would have thought of us before letting this Australian company come in and take our money - highway robbery indeed!

These lanes are not worth it - get rid of Transurban!

$3 in toll $1800 in fines, but have had a charged and operational EzPass account for nearly 10 years. Insane.

Transurban is not honoring their planned pricing structure. The prices are supposed to maintain a speed of 45mph in the express lanes, instead they charge based on traffic on the mainlines.

It is worse than ever. Highest tolls in the US. Way to go Richmond.
