Instead of complaining about the name of the JC, which is nothing but superficial, why not think of the deeper meaning of the name? The name itself communicates how the authorities took their time to ponder and come up with a name suitable for a place filled with teenagers with bright futures. Instead of slamming the name, why not think of how you or your child can have a better learning environment in the new school? People might complain that travelling to Mount Sinai on a daily basis is hard, but have you ever wondered if there was a good side; considered what better education your child could receive there? Such immature behavior even among parents totally, and absolutely disgust me. And to those making fun of the name of the JC, how would you like it if I made fun of you or your parent's name? You wouldn't like that right? So why can't you people learn to respect the name, or at least the effort put in by relevant authorities to come up with a unique name for a new campus?

A name like Eunoia, although having a beautiful meaning behind it, is difficult to pronounce and some parents and even students, might pronounce it wrongly. Additionally, it has no relation to Singapore or the culture here whatsoever.
A simpler name would be maybe Trinity JC, which is more relatable as threes schools are going to form this new JC and two schools are mission schools, which would make the name very relevant.

The stubbornness and dictatorship of the principal on insisting on this name, shows the quality of this principal already. Good luck to students having to study there. A better name would be Harvard JC, then everyone will want to go there.

this JC has from the start been cursed with bad planning, broken promises to the students, zero accountability on the part of MOE and those involved. And now to top it all off, a totally unpronounceable name which people are having a great time making fun off.....what are you doing MOE????? There is a major problem when people have to search wikipedia just to know what the stupid name means.....
third no accountability

After getting suggestions from all the students, this is the outcome? Seriously? Why dun let the students vote instead?
After forcing them to travel to MT Sinai, now we gave them a funny school name. Wats next.. maybe an ugly uniform.
Pls change the name and the students will be happier

Seriously like first they want to shift the jc temporarily to mt sinai then now they give us this name that sounds like some disease. What has the world become... And for this disease the only cure is to change the name of the jc because people work hard to get there and if the ministry can't even give us a name that is relatable how do they expect us to entrust our future to them??

most students need to feel proud to be known as Eunoiasans, otherwise please consider changing. The new school name should have a linkage to the 3 secondary schools motto.

A real disappointed name that is conceived without consulting the stakeholders. Another case of highhandedness.

As a parent of a boy in this new JC, I find the new jc name too difficult to pronounce even though there is a good meaning behind it. I am unimpressed and would like to reject it if I could. Wonder what was MOE thinking. Disappointed.
