I want to have a fun homecoming and prom. The last dances I've went to I didn't even want to dance because the music was so out of date. I don't want to feel like I wasted my money again.

Since Homecoming is a school event for the students to enjoy themselves (i'm a senior therefore my goal is to make as many memories as I can) and our money is being used for the selection of the DJ if we feel like the Dj isn't satisfying our musical needs, we should be able to change him or he should use the music playlist that we provide. The purpose of this petition is not to disrespect you family member but to instill music that suits our generation and style. Please consider this petition from your hard working Lehigh Senior Scholars.

I'm c/o 2015 alumni and I've been to multiple dances here in the past. Every single event where this guy has been the DJ has been a completely sub-par experience music-wise. He barely even uses the deck in front of him to crossfade tracks or make transitions or do anything that a simple iTunes or Spotify playlist couldn't do just as well. Now, I'm not saying that Lehigh should outright replace the DJ with a playlist, but if the school is paying for his services and that's the quality of service received in return, then Lehigh would be wise to spend their money on a DJ that's actually somewhat competent at their job.
As a side note, all dances I've been to had featured my peers complaining about the music choices and the DJ's incompetence as well, and I've heard rumors that the DJ is related to the principal. If that's the only reason that he's being hired for all the events, that's a clear case of nepotism, something highly unethical and frowned upon in any professional environment. Please make a change.

Clarify what event(s) are being affected (Prom, Dances, Rallies) as well as to offer what your supporters will be doing to assist with the process. (Pay additional costs to hire another DJ)
