Wolves were introduced into Colorado in December of 2023. This was not a good decision at all when you look at the problems and solutions other states are taking to battle them. In Idaho wolves have reduced the elk population by 43% since 2002 the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation found in a recent study. In Yellowstone National Park the elk population went from 17,000 to 8,000 from 1995 to 2008. To battle the wolves Wyoming has wolves as a shoot on sight nuisance animal. In Idaho your legally allowed to use your elk tag on a wolf if that is your choice. So this petition is to battle the decision made on reintroducing them and save our amazing elk and deer populations here in Colorado.
